Dan Petroskey is a compassionate personal injury trial attorney who recognizes that when a client calls an attorney after being injured, they are looking for more than just skilled legal advice. They are looking for someone to listen, empathize and sympathize with what they are going through.
Dan is the proud owner of DeFronzo & Petroskey, PC, a personal injury law firm that has been operating in Waterbury for over 60 years, carrying on the tradition started by Attorney Eugene DeFronzo. Dan has settled more than 1,000 cases in his career and had tried, mediated and arbitrated dozens more.
He has dozens of settlements in excess of six-figures, but where he really takes pride in his work is maximizing the settlement amounts of cases that other law firms deem "too small." Dan believes that no case is too small because clients deserve the same effort from their lawyer regardless of case value.
Dan also believes in giving back to his community. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Waterbury Bar Association. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Rivera Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization in Waterbury, that promotes the educational and physical well-being of Waterbury youth and families. He has been a volunteer judge for student mock trials, speaking at several career days in Waterbury about his experiences as an attorney, and is a member of his children's school golf committee, which runs an annual golf tournament to raise money for the school.
